Tangy BBQ Tofu
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Serves 4
What you Need:
- 14 to 16 ounces extra-firm tofu
- Olive oil
- 1 pouch of Haven’s Kitchen Tangy BBQ sauce
How to Make It:
- For the best tofu, try pressing it ahead of time by placing sliced tofu between two plates weighed down with a can for at least 20 minutes. We like to do this before work in the am, so it's ready at dinner time
- When you’re ready to cook, preheat the oven to 425. Drain the liquid from tofu and cut into slices, then in half
- Combine ½ pouch of BBQ sauce with about a tablespoon of olive oil. Toss with the tofu gently to coat it
- Turn stove onto medium-high heat. Using an oven safe pan, fry the tofu for about 2 minutes each side
- Transfer tofu to the oven, and bake at 425 for 10 minutes, until golden brown and finish off with more Tangy BBQ sauce
