Honey Sesame Fried Feta

Serves 4
What You Need
- 1 (10-12 ounce) block feta cheese
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp black and white sesame seeds
- Glug of olive oil
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Haven’s Kitchen Golden Turmeric Tahini or Zippy Chili Harissa
- Honey
How to Make it:
- Whisk the egg in a shallow dish. Add the panko to a separate shallow dish, toss in sesame seeds and mix
- Dip the Feta in the egg, turning to coat, remove and allow any excess to drip off. Dredge the Feta through the Panko, turning to coat and pressing gently to adhere
- Heat a glug of olive oil in a medium skillet set over medium heat. When the oil shimmers, add the lemon zest and cook 30 seconds
- Add the Feta and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, drizzle Golden Tahini or Zippy Harissa on a serving plate
- Place the Feta on the sauce and drizzle with honey
